Tim Phin’s Diary: Highlights from NYFW
Remix founder Tim Phin was on the ground in New York for Fashion Week, taking in the shows, backstage beauty, street style and the after-dark energy that takes over the city. From the grand unveiling of Bvlgari’s extraordinary Serpenti Infinito installation to Coach’s milestone 85th birthday show and Tommy Hilfiger’s presentation at the iconic Plaza Hotel, the week delivered plenty to take in. But beyond the front rows, there were plenty of other moments worth noting, from Alice+Olivia’s take on Wonderland to Remix making its presence felt across Manhattan.

September marks the start of fashion month, with New York setting the pace before the circuit moves on to London, Milan and Paris. And for Remix, there was no better way to begin. On 1 September, just days before the fashion crowd descended on Manhattan, Wordle served up five letters and one very fitting answer: REMIX. A perfect start to a month of fashion.
Meanwhile, Alice+Olivia’s ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ Spring 2027 presentation turned New York Fashion Week into a daydream, with romance, sparkle and playful glamour woven throughout. Stacey Bendet’s vision of Wonderland was anything but literal, bringing together elaborate embellishment, fantastical prints, bows, florals and plenty of shimmer. Backstage, Youngblood Cosmetics and key makeup artist Carley Giglio created two soft, shimmering beauty looks inspired by the collection’s dreamlike mood. Skin was fresh and luminous, with delicate touches of shimmer catching the light for a finish that felt more dreamlike than done.
And, of course, the latest issue of Remix Magazine was out across Manhattan, right where it belonged — among the shows, street style and the city’s fashion crowd. Appearing on newsstands throughout the city as Fashion Week unfolded around it, Remix was shaping the landscape from the very start.
