The Takapoto Classic is back for 2026
If there’s one thing you can always count on the Remix team to get behind, it’s any excuse to dress up for summer sports. Welcome to the Takapoto Classic 2026, a six-day celebration of showjumping, sun-soaked style, and unforgettable days out in the open air. Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian-enthusiast or simply in it for the champagne and Instagram moments, this is the event to mark in your calendar. And trust us, there’s a lineup of experiences you won’t want to miss.

Solstice Sun
For those missing the energy of European summers, Solstice Sun is bringing Ibiza straight to New Zealand. The legendary vibes of the White Isle will be recreated by Sweet Mix Kids, setting the soundtrack for your evening as you sip a welcome glass of GH Mumm. And yes, the dress code is strictly Ibiza—think flowing linens, bold prints, and effortless glamour under the setting sun.
Santorini Smoke
Prepare your tastebuds for a Greek feast like no other. Santorini Smoke transforms the Gold Marquee into a Mediterranean escape, complete with communal tables, festoon lights, and the aroma of woodsmoke filling the air. This isn’t just dinner—it’s a Farm-to-Table experience with a Greek twist, showcasing fresh produce from Takapoto Estate alongside olives, charred meats, rustic sides, and other bold Mediterranean flavours.

Picnic à la Française at the Anne Symes Derby
Channel your inner Parisian with Picnic à la Française: a chic, sit-down luncheon overlooking the thrill of the Anne Symes Derby in the Grass Arena. Settle into the Gold Marquee for a curated picnic of French-inspired delights—artisan cheeses, rustic baguettes, charcuterie, and patisserie-perfect sweets. Pair it all with French-themed cocktails or a chilled rosé from the bar, sip and socialise, and enjoy the perfect mix of sport, style, and sophistication.
Grand Prix Gold Tour Final
Close out the Takapoto Classic 2026 in style at the Grand Prix Gold Tour Final, where high-stakes showjumping meets Spanish-inspired flair. From the Gold Marquee, you’ll have front-row views of New Zealand’s top riders and their horses as they take on the arena with precision, power, and a touch of drama.
Enjoy a flowing tapas-style lunch brimming with vibrant Spanish flavours, perfectly paired with cocktails and sangria from the exclusive Gold Marquee bar. This finale promises a stylish and unforgettable close to the Classic.
The Takapoto Classic 2026 takes place on 17-22 February at Takapoto Estate, 90 Finlay Road, Maungatautari (25 minutes from Cambridge, Waikato). Entry is free mid-week, otherwise, purchase tickets to one of the hosted lunches here.
