Olivia Dean christens Western Springs Bowl

Count the Remix team among the 40,000+ Kiwis who’d happily wait 40 minutes in the cold for Olivia Dean. When sound issues stopped Saturday’s show after just three songs, the wait only built the anticipation, and the payoff was worth it. Her biggest headline show to date, the final night of The Art of Loving Live tour and the first-ever concert at the refurbished Bowl became a singalong heard throughout the city, with plenty of dancing and more than a few happy tears to be seen in the crowd. We’re grateful she played every last song, even past the 11pm curfew. Come back soon!

A taste of Copenhagen's coffee culture has landed in Auckland

Coffee lovers and design enthusiasts, this one's for you. Iconic Danish homewares brand BODUM has opened its world-first dedicated retail kiosk at Westfield Albany, bringing more than 80 years of Scandinavian design, coffee culture and colourful living to Auckland. From its cult-favourite French presses and double-wall glassware to sleek gooseneck kettles, milk frothers and coffee accessories, the new space is a treasure trove of beautifully considered everyday essentials. Just in time for Christmas gifting, too.

To celebrate the milestone, MasterChef NZ winner and award-winning barista Sam Low will be taking over the kiosk on Saturday 31 October, from 10am to 2pm, hosting live coffee demonstrations and tastings, with plenty of BODUM prizes up for grabs. Whether you're a self-confessed coffee snob, a lover of good design or simply looking to elevate your morning ritual, consider this your excuse for a little weekend retail therapy.
