If rollercoasters, giant drops and candy floss don't quite satisfy you, then you might be excited to hear that France has opened its own 10-story theme park - dedicated purely to wine! Now that sounds like our sort of attraction.
La Cité du Vin, translated to City of Wine, boasts 20 themed areas and exhibits, expert-led tasting sessions, history sessions, bars and restaurants with over 50 varieties of wine plus a boat ride to show what it’s like being a sea merchant sailing around the world selling wine.
Although La Cité du Vin is calling itself a theme park, it’s rather more like a museum but it's still pretty impressive. The architecture of the building is visually stunning and designed to look like wine, flowing from a bottle. The theme park opened in Bordeaux on June 1st (and we're currently booking flights to France).
