What's hot this week at Remix HQ
It's that time of the week when we think Friday couldn't come any sooner. We’ve got your hot list covered, from new collection drops to the latest must-know news, keeping you busy all the way through to Monday.

BYDEE launches new collection in time for Euro summer
If there’s one thing the Remix girls can’t resist adding to cart, it’s new-season swim. Summer may be behind us, but with a Euro summer on the horizon, a few of us in the office are already in planning mode for July—and BYDEE’s new Zuri Bahari collection is the perfect excuse to start. The collection, launching this Thursday, leans into a safari-inspired mood mixed with boho chic.
If you’re like us, make sure to add this new drop to your calendar this week.

They’re back and better than ever
There’s never a wrong time to visit our fan-favourite waterfront spot, Bivacco. And just as we’re mourning the end of long summer days, they’ve given us the perfect distraction: the return of Bluff oyster season — IYKYK.
Freshly shucked and served ice-cold, this highly anticipated delicacy is officially back. Best enjoyed the way it should be — with something crisp in hand (we’re ordering an Aperol, of course).
And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, Bivacco is leaning into the late-summer mood with a new lineup of stonefruit cocktails, citrus-laced sips designed for slow afternoons that turn into evenings without trying too hard.

PSA… Hourglass is back!
If your makeup bag hasn’t quite felt the same since Hourglass Cosmetics quietly disappeared from shelves, consider this your sign to restock. The cult-favourite beauty brand is officially back within reach, and this time, it’s easier than ever to get your hands on it.
After being noticeably absent from MECCA, Hourglass Cosmetics is now available to shop directly through its New Zealand online store, as well as via Sephora NZ, meaning your go-to powders, palettes, and glow-giving essentials are finally back in rotation.
Known for its signature soft-focus finish and barely-there luminosity, Hourglass has long been the brand behind that “your skin, but better” look, the kind you can’t quite replicate once it’s gone.
Safe to say, this is one restock worth making.

Look no further, we have the perfect after-work plans
If your ideal end to the workday involves something a little more elevated than your usual, consider this your sign to head over the bridge. Takapuna Surf Club is officially entering its after-hours era, with Balter bringing a slice of Gold Coast energy to Auckland’s shoreline.
To start it all off this Thursday, the Balter Bash sets the tone with beers on tap. Think iconic Aussie schnitty specials and sunset drinks just steps from the beach.
Balter’s Eazy Hazy will also be available on tap for the first time in New Zealand — a quiet milestone for those in the know. From there, Balter Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday, so you can enjoy it all week long.

Where's Wally? Takapuna!
A few paces down from Takapuna Surf club you'll find our newest fashion fixation.
Enter Wally... a sharp, directional retail concept redefining the space between surf-store casual and high-end boutique polish. Founded by retail heavyweights Dave Malcolm and Staci Scott, the Hurstmere Road flagship feels less like a store and more like a discovery platform, blending emerging New Zealand designers with hard-to-find international labels in one tightly curated edit.
Think fresh local designers alongside cult global names, all under one roof that’s as considered as the racks themselves, from heritage fixtures to a sculptural black counter anchoring the space. It’s cool without trying too hard, accessible without losing edge, but beyond the product, Wally’s real pull is its community-first energy. With local collaborations, open-door buying, and founders who are as present as the clothes, it feels embedded, not imposed.
In a retail landscape that’s long felt divided, Wally lands right in the sweet spot.
