WOMAD 2016: The full line-up for New Zealand’s World Music Festival

Screen Shot 2015-10-21 at 5.41.18 pm If you’ve never been to a WOMAD Festival, you have some serious catching up to do. Basically picture the west coast sun blazing, the best handpicked music from all around the world, the loveliest and most considerate crowd you can get at a festival, and stalls filled with clothes, workshops and really (really) delicious food. Recently released was the news that Ladysmith Black Mambazo and John Grant will headline next year’s event, and today the full line-up can now be revealed, with talk of it being one of the festivals most diverse and colourful yet… Just announced Ethio-soul Queen, Ester Rada has been turning heads worldwide with her soulful blend of jazz/funk/soul/rnb fusion, opening for Alicia Keys at her Israeli concert in 2013.
